About Tuft'D

Born in Detroit. Built by hand. Made with care.

Hi, I'm Nona Ray — the hands behind every tufted piece.

Born and raised on the eastside of Detroit, where creativity and grit go hand-in-hand. Tuft'D is my space to turn that energy into something real — bold, textured, handcrafted tufted pieces you can actually feel.

What started as a creative outlet quickly became a fun way to deliver tangible, feel-good art. Every rug, wall piece, and custom design is crafted by hand — carved, trimmed, shaped, and finished with care.

2025 was mine — spent stepping away from the tufting gun to be fully present for my son in his first years. That time away reminded me why I do this. I'm back in 2026 with more intention, more energy, and more to give.

Tuft'D is all about creating fun, personal pieces that bring a little joy into your space. Welcome to this creative space, and thank you so much for your support!

What I Believe In

Truly One of a Kind

No mass production, no repeats. You bring the idea — I turn it into a one‑of‑a‑kind tufted piece you won’t find anywhere else.

Made With Care

Every piece is tufted by hand using professional tools, then carved, shaped, and finished with intention. I take your idea and turn it into something real you can touch.

Quality Focused

Each piece is finished with durable backing, clean edges, and the kind of detail that keeps your art looking good for years.

The Process

01

Plan the Design

Every piece starts with your image or idea. I map out the layout, colors, and details so the final design is clear and ready to tuft.

02

Select Yarns

Premium acrylic yarns are chosen to bring the color palette to life.

03

Tuft

Loop by loop, the design is tufted using a professional tufting gun building the shape and texture layer by layer.

04

Finish & Ship

Each piece is carved, trimmed, backed, and cleaned before being carefully packaged for its journey to your door.
